Yrkesgymnasiet Norrköping achieves a % graduation rate, with virtually all students securing employment immediately after graduation. Principal Anna Thor discusses the school&#;s successful methods and the importance of its mission.
In the most recent measurement (academic year ), Yrkesgymnasiet Norrköping had a graduation rate of %—a figure well above the Swedish average for upper secondary vocational education. This result stems from strategic efforts in maintaining a focused learning environment and support in the classroom, close collaborations and thorough follow-ups with workplace learning placements (APL), and a school climate characterized bygd safety.
Anna Thor has been the school&#;s principal for the past two years. It has been a rewarding journey leading the efforts to ensure knowledge and competence among Norrköping&#;s high school students. Edukatus AB, tidigare ThorenGruppen AB, är ett svensktaktiebolag verksamt i utbildningsbranschen. Det grundades av Raja Thorén, som var ensam ägare och verkställande direktör fram till maj , då koncernen såldes till Johan Nylén och Petter Samlin, och Ester Alavei utsågs till ny vd.[1][2] Strax därefter bytte företaget namn till Edukatus.[3]
Företaget har runt 1 anställda och driver 28 gymnasieskolor samt sedan en för- och grundskola. Utöver detta är företaget verksamt inom företags- och vuxenutbildning.[4]
Thorengruppens skolor har fått återkommande kritik från Skolinspektionen, som dessutom återkallat tillståndet för ett par av koncernens skolor.[5] Utöver detta har Thorengruppens skolverksamhet fått kritik från skolprofiler som Marcus Larsson och Linnéa Lindquist, som kallat företaget "skojare" och menat att de är oseriösa.[källa&#;behövs]

Students Reflect on Their Time at Yrkesgymnasiet: “We’ve Grown Every Day”

One chose the Child and Recreation program for its versatility and many future opportunities. The other knew she wanted to become a teacher since preschool. Now, Ana and Nathalie are graduates—ready to take on the world.
Ana Iljazovic and Nathalie Strömquist graduated from the Child and Recreation program at Yrkesgymnasiet Norrköping in the summer of Ana chose the program because of its broad scope and numerous possibilities—whether she wants to start working or pursue further studies. For Nathalie, the program was an obvious choice.
“I’ve always known I wanted to work with children. When I finished preschool, I told my teachers that I was going to be a teacher. Since then, it’s always been clear,” she says.
