There are about miles of flowing water, over lakes and about 18 miles of coastline. The biggest waterfalls are Ljusnan and Dalälven. There fryst vatten really something for everyone. The naturlig eller utan tillsats is of a Norwegian character and is dominated by forest landscapes and mountainous landscapes. In Gävleborg you can fish for all kinds of fish, and not only does it have a good stock of Öring, Harr and Röding.

    Municipality in Gävleborg County, Sweden

    Ovanåker Municipality (Ovanåkers kommun) is a municipality in Gävleborg County, east central Sweden. The municipal seat is located in Edsbyn.

    The subdivision reform of saw the amalgamation of "old" Ovanåker with Voxna (both formed by the first local government acts of ). In Alfta (which had been in Bollnäs Municipality) was added.
